Day 13 (S8-9)

Kin waits for us to wake up around noon (Rina Day 9 - haha oops).

We get up just in time for the meeting with Francis, who is the consort King.

While waiting for Francis, it gets cold and Rina invites Enoch Agronoch in. He mentions he hasn’t been able to get ahold of Rina for 3 days, and says the blending is dumb.  Kin does not like Enoch, probably because he is a devil. Enoch mentions that he’s basically a celebrity on “his side.” Aurelius grilled Enoch on how close he was to Rina, apparently he saw Enoch on Rina’s bed the last time. Enoch seemed unphased by the implication, and even encouraged it. But he seemed mostly just annoyed by the party, so said he will talk to Rina alone later.

Francis shows up and we have a nice conversation. He is 37 and a new vampire, recently married King Sullivan Frey. He mentioned mercenaries who are staying at the Floppy Hat Inn with possibly a body of a monster like our Bodak from Mepul. They won’t let anyone see it until they get payment, so francis wants us to check it. Looks like we are stealing a bodak body.  He said there is a city called Youngru where people have been killed. He said to light the torch in the western bell tower to contact him.  The Floppy Hat Inn is a 5 story tall tower in the east. On one side is the river and the other side is a busy alley. Has lots of windows.

We go back to the inn and decide what’s next - we took baths and Alice took a nap. While sleeping she has a dream about a deep cold. She seems to think Rina and her Devil may be responsible.

Rina and Aurelius went to the library. Rina got 3 books - one is about folktales of the area (Knight of Longshadow?), one is details on The Kingdom of Bolgroth, and one is what the F5 checked out: Niktalia is about the plains and souls that go through the “Niktalia Eternal” where souls go and wait to be sent somewhere else. It was written by the God of the Vampires (Scholar Therius), Drake, (Godfrey Frey?) and King Sullivan Frey. They believed there are giant Shepherds that protect the souls there but no one living can enter and survive.

The mountain south called Mt. Ivatim had a village where people disappeared.

Kin goes to the Floppy Hat Inn and cases the place, observing the mercenaries.

There is a bit of a tunnel system in the city. There is a tavern in the basement of the floppy hat.

Alice got Legend Lore, Aruleus got Wall of Force, Rina got Scry. We can telepathically say “hold” “danger” or “forward.” for the blending

Kin used a Sending spell to tell Rina and Alice about the penthouse. Rina is staying in the Tunnel inn where they had a room already, the others all want to stay at the Floppy Hat Inn penthouse.

Enoch was surprisingly understanding that Rina was late. And was satisfied that she's working toward her goal.

Rina reads the books. She’s been staying at the Tunnel Inn. Enoch showed up only briefly to ask what she’s done to further the goal, she talks about the book, he’s fine with that - timer rest, he’s gone again. He says he has been very busy.
