Day 12 (S8)

Rina 7
Blending day 3

Kin continues to try and Thorn whip the bottle from the hand of the Incubus, getting burned by his fire over and over. Until, finally, the bottle breaks free of his hand.
"Gah, this is not the end, little human" the Incubus said.
Kin ran to grab the bottle, hoping to open it - but he was pulled out of the vision to a wider scope. He was no longer in the golden room, he was in the clouds - full of lightning and rain. The rain quickly parted to display a hurricane that turned into a tsunami. The full power of nature shown in a moment.
Then, everything was calm. Grass shook softly in the wind, birds whistled in the trees. Then, in a clearing, he saw Rina, Alice, and Aurelius, all laughing by the fire.
"... friend..." he heard Oara say in his mind as Rina looked up at him smiling. The memory of the sunset on the ship flashed in his mind.
Kin awoke in the tree. He had no idea how much time had passed, but to him it was only one night.

Alice continued to dig using Aurelius' sword as a shovel, until she finally found the source of the light - a small shard of glass-looking stone. She grabbed it and held it in her hand, she had seen it before. The true memory of her finding this object flashed in her mind: leaving the home she once knew, being alone in the dark, bending nature to her will without any force. The small glimmer of light in the grass that she curiously picked up. Within it she could see a reflection, but it was not of her - it was of her friends. Kin, Aurelius, and Rina all stood in the reflection of the Mirror Stone.

Aurelius had yelled for his dad to stop killing the Therianthropes, but that did not last long. He could feel Rina's magic close to him, he could use it if he wanted. With a Dimension Door he teleported to the execution block and grabbed the cat man who was kneeling.
"Son! What are you doing?!" Alric Ravenwood yelled, "You cannot stop this."
Aurelius used another Dimension Door to escape with the cat man, but could not save any others.

Rina was hit hard by the hand of the Giant Devil whose belly she was on, but she did not let that deter her from getting to the stake holding the Therianthrope Souls and her late husband Sebastian.
Upon getting to the stake, it was obvious that it was not coming out easily. She remembered the wither that she had purchased in Vorovni, pulling it out of her pocket, and wedging it into the wound that the stake had left in the devil's side.
The skin of the devil began to bubble a burn away, fizzing and smoking where she had put the little bag.
She could then feel the powers of her friends in her. Though she could not pull the stake out on her own, she used Alice's Wildshape to turn into a Grizzley bear to pull up the stake with her giant claws and teeth.
The stake pulled, at first a little, and then broke free. Rina kept pulling on it, and more of the stake continued to come out.
But Rina never saw the end of it - the stake was so long, it could not come all the way out with the strength and time she had.

Kin walked back into town and went by the library.
"Excuse me, Ida?"
"Yes, hello?" Ida answered.
"How long has it been since Rina was here?" he asked her.
"Oh, that was just yesterday at about this time I'd say."
"Good" he replied, "I wanted to make sure too much time had not gone by."
"They are doing the blending, correct?" she asked.
"Yes, but I didn't" he answered, "I just fell asleep in a tree and wasn't sure how long it had been. By the way, where is the nearest post office?"
"Oh, it's around the bend here, and up 2 stories to the top of that building over there" she said as she gestured to a grey tower - shorter than the library, but taller than most buildings Kin had been to before.
"Ok, thank you, Ida" he said as he walked toward the post office building.
When he arrived there, he sent a letter to Marcus to have any money we may have made from the Riverbend Goblin / Ogre job sent to Castle Frey.
"Excuse me" he asked the postal worker, "where is the nearest bank? I'd like to open an account here."
"Oh, it's in the next tower over, same level" they replied, "But I'm afraid you would have to be a citizen to get an account there."
"Oh, of course" Kin said in an exacerbated tone, "How do you know I'm not a citizen?" he asked.
"Oh, well, you see, anyone who has done the Blending has a certain... connection... to everyone else who has done it. It's hard to explain, you would just have to do it yourself."
"Thanks" Kin replied as he walked away.

Kin walked out of the post office into the city. It was bustling, like always. As Kin was a holy man, he wanted to determine if there was any Fey or Fiend here. He senses a powerful Fiend presence - more powerful than he had ever felt - in the area of the city that the rest of the party was in. He went to investigate that it was coming from Rina. Her soul's tie to Agronoch was the only thing Kin could feel.

Kin decided to go to the CF Adventuring Guild to get a feel for the people there, and any quests that might be available.
"What can I do for ya?" said a grumpy-looking Druce man just inside the door.
"Uhh, I'm looking for information." Kin answered.
"And who are you?" he asked.
"My name is Kin, I'm from the Sprite's Lights Adventuring Party."
The man laughed out loud at Kin, "Buzz off... humph, the Sprites Light's. How cute."
Kin got a little upset, "Excuse me, it's it your job to help adventuring parties?"
A few other adventuring parties overheard Kin arguing with him.
"Oi!" one man said, brandishing his sword, "He said 'Buzz off' - get out or I'll make you."
The rest of the people in there gathered up behind him.
Kin lifted his finger to protest, but before he could say anything three of the men picked him up and threw him completely out of the building.
"Well..." Kin said to himself, "I guess now I just have to wait for the others to get done Blending."
During the next couple of days, Kin still lingered around the CF Adventuring Guild, watching everyone who went in and out. He got himself familiarized with the city of Castle Frey by going to the library and trying some restaurants and shops. At night he went back to the tree outside the city to sleep.
